Hi, I'm Tom
A senior English teacher and coach, teaching adults since 2012.
I studied Chemistry at The University of Edinburgh (BSc Hons, 2006 to 2011) and gained my Cambridge CELTA at Basil Paterson in Edinburgh in 2012.
Since 2012 I have taught English to adults: 1:1, in groups and in seminars, online and in person. From 2013 to 2015 I was lead teacher at a language and professional training centre in St Petersburg, training corporate groups and senior managers. In 2015 I coordinated international training seminars for the pharmaceutical industry in Basel.
From 2017 to 2021 I built education programmes in Ho Chi Minh City and partnered with English language schools there, and from 2019 to 2023 I wrote technical documentation for international engineering projects in Finland. I am based in the United Kingdom.
Today I teach professionals online, with clear goals and live 1:1 lessons. Between lessons, AI-supported practice helps you keep working towards those goals.
